My approach to Interior Design.

At times (eye) find joy and inspiration in the most unlikely of places, like a good plate of food, the smell of the changing season, or even the nostalgic memory of a culturally enriching experience. (Eye) then use this creative inspiration to find a theme to match the lifestyle and aesthetic of the project I’m working on.

Step 1; The art of listening is something (eye) take deep care to master. (Eye) absolutely love that first interaction with a client, when the excitement is tangible in the air and information is bouncing off the walls of what the space could and should be. It is here where (eye) try to see not only what they want, but also what they need, even if it is not yet clear to the naked eye. Dreaming together and creating a masterpiece must be one of my all time favourite feelings.

Step 2; (Eye) believe that Mood boards evoke so much more than just the style of a design and incorporate them within each of my projects. When creating a mood board for a special project, (eye) want it to tell the story I see unfolding within the room, combined with all the emotions and feelings you experience when taking it in at first glance. It is the roadmap to making the vision come alive.

Step 3; The sourcing of unique, antique, one-of-a-kind, as well as custom pieces that will compliment the story (eye) am telling within the room is the next vital phase in my design process. Curated, elevated pieces is what makes a space come alive and is what adds character and personality to the room you are creating. It can however at times be an interesting process when sourcing these unique elements, especially when you’re looking to create a very specific look or have a vision for a rare element. It often requires extensive research, knowledge of different styles and eras, and the willingness to hunt and seek out the perfect piece.

Step 4; The final piece to the puzzle is making the art of design, come alive! This is where my team and (eye) go all in, in a hands-on process where we bring in the curated elements and pieces into your room or home, and where we then place and style it to give the space a new sense of life, as we watch the story unfold.

Designing and Styling is an Art. And this is a process (eye) have fallen in love with.
